01. Policy Overview
Webtizo provides digital services, not physical products. Our work involves significant human hours, research, and intellectual property development.
Therefore, we do not offer full refunds once work has commenced. Refunds are processed based on the stage of the project at the time of cancellation.
Service-Based
You are paying for time, expertise, and custom code development, which cannot be "returned" like a physical item.
Milestone Locked
Payments are tied to specific deliverables (e.g., Design Approval, Beta Launch). Completed milestones are non-refundable.
Fair Resolution
If we fail to deliver per the agreed scope, we will offer a partial refund proportional to the uncompleted work.
02. Refund Eligibility
We use a milestone-based approach to calculate refund amounts. This ensures fair compensation for work already done.
If you cancel the project within 24 hours of the initial deposit and before any onboarding meeting or research has started, you are eligible for a 100% refund (minus payment gateway fees).
Once the initial design mockups or wireframes have been created but not yet approved, you are eligible for a 50% refund of the deposit. The retained amount covers our design team's hours.
Once the design is approved and coding (development) has begun, the initial deposit becomes non-refundable. Any subsequent milestone payments made for completed coding stages are also non-refundable.
Once the website has been deployed to your server or the final files have been handed over, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
03. Non-Refundable Items
Certain costs are incurred immediately and paid to third parties on your behalf. These are strictly non-refundable.
Infrastructure
Domain name registrations, SSL certificates, and server setup fees paid to providers (e.g., AWS, GoDaddy).
Licenses
Paid plugins, premium themes, stock photography, or font licenses purchased specifically for your project.
3rd Party Services
Fees for marketing tools, email automation setups, or other API integrations initiated at your request.
04. Cancellation Policy
Clients may cancel their project or recurring services at any time via written notice (email). Here is how we handle it:
- Project Cancellation: If you cancel a project mid-way, you own the work completed up to the last paid milestone. We will not release source code for unpaid milestones.
- Recurring Services (SEO/Maintenance): Cancellations for monthly retainers must be made 7 days before the next billing cycle. We do not refund partial months.
- Termination by Webtizo: If we terminate the contract due to our inability to complete the work, a full refund for the incomplete phase will be issued.
05. Client Responsibilities
Project timelines rely on client feedback. A project is considered "dormant" if we receive no communication for 30 days.
If a project goes dormant due to client delays (e.g., not providing content or credentials), no refunds will be issued for previous payments, and a reactivation fee may apply to resume work.
06. Disputes & Chargebacks
We encourage clients to contact us directly to resolve issues. Filing a chargeback or dispute with your bank without contacting us first constitutes a breach of contract.
In the event of a chargeback, we reserve the right to suspend all services, take down the website, and pursue legal action to recover costs and damages.
